UPDATES

Hey! Hope you all are doing well!

Ok, need to start with some fairly heavy stuff.

“Functional AGI” Timelines
Shit is getting serious. Timelines could shift, and this will happen to different industries/companies at different times, but I’m now guessing we have between 3-9 months before solid commercial products start coming out that are essentially functional AGI. Meaning they can do lots and lots of knowledge worker jobs.

And then another 3-12 months for that to hit the market really hard. “The Market” meaning both a stock market boom with productivity and new inventions and such, but also an even steeper job market crash for knowledge work.

It’s time to seriously start planning for this. As individuals, heads of family, communities, governments, countries, etc. Of course we can only do the first few ourselves.

I think the main viable path for knowledge worker professionals is to start seeing themselves as free agents. And to start behaving that way in terms of how they present to the world.

This doesn’t mean if you work at a big company you suddenly announce you’re looking for work everywhere. That would be dumb.

What it means is it’s about to be essential that you’re visible, that you have a portfolio of work you can show/talk about, that you have a domain. A website. Ideally a YouTube / Podcast but that’s less important initially.

Let me be clear: this is NOT so you can become an influencer. Being an influencer is dead now. Not because it’s going away, but because everyone’s about to be one.

Being visible is about to be the new default state for anyone who wants to work.

PAI 3.0 is out!

New Blog! I think this is about to blow up as a concept in 2026. This is what powers the algorithm that powers PAI.

You approved the agent. Not what it connects to.

We've tracked millions of tool calls and found agents connecting to shadow servers that no one authorized.

Most teams never see it because nothing's watching what agents connect to - only whether they're allowed to run.

MintMCP monitors the connections: MCP Gateway scopes what agents can access, while Agent Monitor tracks every call.

Creating is becoming the ultimate dopamine hit
Short-form video, I think, has been overtaken by Claude Code/building. I am really happy about this actually. Yes, it’s an obsession. Yes it’s addictive (can vouch). But at least it’s creation. I'm just tremendously excited about this. I keep talking about how I'm so excited about activating people. Igniting them. Getting them excited about what they're capable of. And having them actually produce things of value that are appreciated by others. That's exactly what this is doing. That's exactly what Claude Code has done in the last few months. And of course Codex and others as well.

Another view into this world. 🤯 👇🏼

RECOMMENDATION OF THE WEEK

Start preparing for visibility. Start preparing for being discoverable for others looking to partner with someone on work.

Think—permanent, universal gig economy.

The Human 3.0-style economy is peer-to peer. That’s what’s coming. You and everyone else are discoverable and there’s a tech layer that allows people to find other high-quality matches for projects.

  • Domain

  • Site

  • Narrative

  • Portfolio

  • A way to contact you

  • Etc.

This is no longer medium/long-future stuff. It’s about to happen.

APHORISM OF THE WEEK

Change is the essence of life; be willing to surrender what you are for what you could become.
